SYNOPSIS
Consumer electronics such as mobile phone, MP3 player, and portable electrical equipment are commonly used today. The light weight and long available lifetime for the systems design are essential requirements. As a result, the innovations of circuit, architecture, algorithm, and system with low power consumption are product success factor. Furthermore, VLSI technology is continuously improved to embed more transistors within a small chip die. This means that more non-ideal effects in transistor and fabricated process variation will greatly impact on the system performance and reliability especially in SoC design. This session deals with new technologies for circuits design, architectures design, algorithms innovation, FPGA realizations, and system applications for low power. This special session comprises advanced research in low power and low voltage circuits and systems, fault tolerant design, multi-voltage system, power analysis, mixed signal SoC, algorithm innovation, and FPGA realization of low power applications.
